p.s. The hidden toggle closure that sits nestled under the Taylor’s lapel is a nod to the heritage details of traditional pea coats.

Power Pink
Like the flowering plants that bears its name, fuchsia blends the intensity of magenta with the playfulness of pink. Evoking elegance and power, fuchsia became a chromatic muse in Victorian fashion and later evolved as a symbol of artistic expression and contemporary flair.
Lime Light
The bright and zesty hue gained popularity during the counterculture movement of the 1960’s where it became synonymous with youthful exuberance. From meadows to BRAT, lime awakens the senses and paints the world with citrus hues of rebellion.
Clementine Red
The red pigment was one of the first colours to be used by humans. Originally made from ochre, an iron containing clay-sand mixture, reddish hues were used by ancient Egyptians, Mayans, Chinese, and Romans for ceremonial purposes. Clementine red radiates warmth and zest, evoking memories of ripe fruit and fire.
Perfect Chartreuse
Brilliant and sophisticated, this is for the colour obsessed. The brightest, happiest, and most modern citrine known to man. Also, a liqueur from a French monastery, Chartreuse’s history is just as colourful as the liquid in the bottle. They named the liqueur chartreuse after the mountain range in the Alps where their first monastery, La Grande Chartreuse, was built.
Preppy Periwinkle
Periwinkle, that dreamy blend of lavender and blue, has long been the colour of whimsy and elegance. In art history, it was famously used by the Impressionists to capture the delicate hues of twilight skies and tranquil waters, while in fashion, it adds a dash of sophisticated playfulness. Periwinkle’s rich history is woven into everything from fashion, the namesake periwinkle flower, and even a snail called the common periwinkle.
Mulberry Compote
Reminiscent of mulberry, a juicy fruit grown on a species of trees that is also an integral food for silkworms. Mulberry silk is the softest, purest silk in the world, because of these worms so happily eating the fruit. While this coat is 100% wool, we think the richness of the colour also deserves an homage as a perfect winter bright. Nature knows best.
Positano Teal
A harmonious balance of turquoise waters and cobalt blue skies, teal mirrors nature’s fusion of sky and sea, creating a unity of serenity and depth. Originating in early Egypt, teal has been more recently been a staple in Art Deco and mid-century design, reflecting a desire for sophistication and modernity while echoing the tranquil spirit of aquatic hues.

Maple toggle:
Bespoke and hand-turned in Toronto by a female wood-turner using remanent hard maple. These one-of-kind toggles have been seasoned with hemp oil harvested from a local farm. The toggles are individually hand-branded using a tool made by an onshore company operating since c.1950’s.

Made in the famous Muskoka region with local sheep’s wool, minimal processing, and twisted in a female-owned wool mill. Look closely and you may see evidence of nature in its fibers.

Lucky for us, wool requires less cleaning compared to synthetics. Spot clean with water for discrete spots. Eco-dry clean if necessary. Do not machine wash or dry.
