The Theodore is pure magic. The silhouette of this coat is like nothing you’ve ever seen before. Its secret is the pseudo-crop shape accentuated by Dolman sleeves. The Theodore’s voluminous silhouette defies gravity and flatters beyond imagination. Our favourite detail is the hidden half belt that adds structural beauty if you choose to cinch this coat at the waist. On your more casual days, the belt can be completely removed for a relaxed look.
Like all SteMargScot coats, the Theodore was designed with both style and function in mind. Pop the generous collar and fasten the hand-carved toggle to stay warm and chic when temperatures dip. The hearty shell is 100% pure British-made felted wool that is wind and water repellent. Rest assured, the Theodore is fully lined in a silky Tencel ™, one of the most sustainable fabrics renowned for its ability to wick away moisture and regulate your body’s temperature.

THE THEODORE
Is it warm? Yes, there are two layers of insulation for 3-season wear. The outer woollen shell can accommodate sub-zero temperatures and is made from hearty British Melton that is wind and water resistant. Equally eventful on the interior is the silky Tencel lining to wick away moisture when needed. The relaxed fit can accommodate extra layers to stay warm (and chic) on the harshest winter days. The remarkable thing about wool is that it insulates and regulates temperature, so you’ll be warm outside and won’t overheat when you go indoors.
How can I adjust the sleeve length?
The cuffs are designed with 3” of extra length to accommodate a roll, if desired. Adjust your cuff length depending on your arm length and glove height.
What is the style?
The cut of the Theodore gives an illusion of a crop silhouette without compromising comfort and practicality. This is a modern over-sized fitting coat with a wide range of versatility. The Theodore has the magic to completely transform when styled open, belted, or completely buttoned up.

Wool Overcoat:
100% heirloom wool felt: small-batch woven by a family-owned mill. This wool is naturally wind, water, odour, and microbial resistant. Dyes are low-impact OEKO-TEX certified.
Maple toggle:
Bespoke and hand-turned in Toronto by a female wood-turner using remanent hard maple. These one-of-kind toggles have been seasoned with hemp oil harvested from a local farm. The toggles are individually hand-branded using a tool made by an onshore company operating since c.1950’s.
100% Wool rope:
Made in the famous Muskoka region with local sheep’s wool, minimal processing, and twisted in a female-owned wool mill. Look closely and you may see evidence of nature in its fibers.
Care:
Lucky for us, wool requires less cleaning compared to synthetics. Spot clean with water for discrete spots. Eco-dry clean if necessary. Do not machine wash or dry.
100% Tencel™ lining:
Produced from sustainably sourced wood by environmentally responsible processes. The fibers are breathable, moisture wicking, temperature regulating, and biodegradable. Sourced from a Canadian supplier.
REFUND AND EXCHANGE POLICY
If you’re looking to return or exchange your order for whatever reason, we’re here to help!
If you’re not satisfied with your order, we can offer you an exchange (dependent available inventory) or store credit.
For an exchange or store credit, email us at info@stemargscot.com and we will send you a link to print a return label.
Your store credit will be equal to the item cost + HST, minus return shipping costs. To be eligible for a store credit, your item must be unused, in the same condition that you received it and in the original packaging.
Store Credit
After we receive your returned item and inspect its condition, we will process your store credit or exchange. An email of your store credit (minus the cost of return shipping) will be sent to the email provided.
Exchanges
If you need to exchange an item for whatever reason, please send us an email at info@stemargscot.com and we’ll be happy to help.
Shipping returns
Since we are a small business and covered the initial shipping costs, the return shipping costs will be deducted from your store credit.
We will make this as easy as possible for you by sending you a link to print a return label. Once your return label is printed, drop your item off at Canada Post for return.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.
